The Hockey Group of South Florida is pleased to announce the  to the FIRST EVER Women's/Girls Developmental House League right here in South Florida! The Inaugural Winter season runs from September 27, 2005 - March 28, 2006. That's 24 weeks of hockey! (with a break for the holidays, of course.)

 

  • Inaugural Winter Season Information:

    • The Girls Night Out Hockey League is open to women and girls of all ages and skill levels

      • Under 18 needs parental consent

      • Beginners, as always, are welcomed and encouraged!

    • We are a league run by women FOR women

    • The first 24 who pay get to play

    • The League starts September 27th and runs through March 28th with December 20th, 27th, January 3rd and February 14th off.

    • We skate at Glacier Ice and Snow Arena every Tuesday night at 8:10 PM

    • Tentatively, the league is comprised if 9 skill development clinics and 15 games.

    • All players MUST be USA Hockey registered before she can participate!

  • Skill Development Clinics:

    • We have secured John Griffin once again as our instructor.

    • John will not only help us build our individual skills, he will introduce us to team concepts and game situational play as well.

  • Games:

    • For this season, games will be informal scrimmages or pick-up style.

    • Each team will be selected and balanced prior to each game.

     

  • Rules:

    • We have only one: That you are sensitive to the skill levels of those around you; and to respect yourself, respect your team and respect your opponents..

     

  • Players:

    • Space is limited to no more than 12 skaters per team.

    • THE FIRST 24 WHO PAY GET TO PLAY!

    • If you are not one of the first 24 registered players, you will be given the option to participate in all of the clinics and will be considered an alternate for any games.

    • In order to participate in the games however, you MUST attend the clinics.

     

  • Goalies:

    • Goalies pay half price.

    • The first 2 to pay, will be considered the starting goalies for all games.

    • Starting goalies are required to attend the clinics.

    • Any additional goalies can participate in the clinics, but you will be considered back-ups to the starting goalies when it comes to any games.

    • All goalies will receive personalized instruction during the Skill Development Clinics.

     

  • Cost:

    • 24 weeks: $295

      • 9 Skill Development Clinics

      • Personalized instruction from John Griffin

      • 15 Games
