The Hockey Group of South Florida is pleased to
announce the Third Annual Spring-Summer season held
at Glacier Ice and Snow Arena, which will run from May 1st through August 28th.
That's 16 weeks of hockey!

Spring-Summer Season Information:
-
As in the
past, the Girls Night Out Hockey League is open to girls and women of ALL
skill levels
-
Under 18
needs parental consent.
-
Beginners, as always, are welcomed and encouraged!
-
Each team
will consist of a maximum 12 skaters and a goalie.
-
The
Spring-Summer Season starts May 1st with an evaluation session.
-
Games will
be played from May 8th through August 28th, with Memorial Day & July 3rd
off.
-
We will
continue to skate at
Glacier Ice and Snow Arena, where women's hockey has
had a home for the last 3 years, but at a new night. We will now skate
Monday nights at 8:05 & 9:15 PM!!
-
The
Spring-Summer Season will remain a combination of games and skill
development clinics. (Tentatively, 10 games and 5 skill development clinics
per team.)

All players
MUST be USA Hockey registered before she can participate!

Teams:
-
This
season, there will be 3 - 4 teams, based on player turnout.
-
Teams will
be established at the beginning of the Spring-Summer Season.
-
Teams will
be selected utilizing an evaluation and draft process.
-
The
evaluation on May 1st is used strictly for team placement, so we have
balanced and equal teams.
-
Once
evaluated, you will be placed in the draft which will be conducted by the
League Directors.
-
EVERYONE GETS TO PLAY! There is no way a player
will not be placed on a team once she has been evaluated.

Skill Development Clinics:
-
Once again,
we have secured John Griffin as our head instructor.
-
John will not only help us build our
individual skills, he will introduce us to team concepts and game
situational play as well.
-

Each player
will be evaluated, strictly for placement purposes ONLY!

Once again,
everyone gets to play. There are no cuts.
-
Space is
limited to 12 skaters and 1 goalie per team.

Any
alternates will ONLY be called on an as needed basis.

Clinic
Only Option:

You can
choose to Use the Spring-Summer Season as more like a 'Summer Camp' to
work on developing your skills

This
option includes the evaluation session plus all 15 clinics.

The cost
would be the same as the full Spring-Summer Season at $250.
-
If at any
time you would like to try out your new skills and play in a game, your cost to play would be $10 a game.

Additional
Clinic Option:
-
You can
choose to participate in additional clinics other than those originally
scheduled for your team.
-
For
example: If your team is scheduled to play a game on Monday night and you
also want to work on your skills, you may do so for an additional fee.
-
For
Full Time Players, the cost will be $10 per additional clinic you wish
to participate in.

For
Alternates or walk-ons, the cost would remain the same at $20 per clinic
and $20 per game.

For those
who want it all:
-
You can
choose to skate each week in BOTH the Skill Development Clinic AND the
regularly scheduled game.

If you
are scheduled to play a game on Monday, you may also participate in the
clinic. If your team is scheduled to have a clinic, you will be the first
player called to fill in as an alternate for the game scheduled that
night.

for this option will be $375.
